Judicial Board of the Bishkek City Court did not satisfy the complaint of Alexander Ryabushkin against the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court, which reversed the decision to transfer to him a 50 percent stake in Rubikon Advertising Company. Lawyer Sergei Vorontsov told 24.kg news agency.
"On October 5, 2018, the Pervomaysky District Court determined a criminal cause and revoked the decision of the court made on September 24, 2014 on the transfer of a 50 percent stake in Rubikon Company to Alexander Ryabushkin and his wife. The Ryabushkins filed a private complaint with the Bishkek City Court. The court did not satisfy it, leaving the court ruling dated October 5 in force. The decision of the second instance takes effect immediately. In other words, Ryabushkin has no ownership right to Rubicon, the lawyer said.
As for Alexander Ryabushkin, the Prosecutor General’s Office, having considered the statement by the ex-owner of the publishing house, Alexander Kim, about illegal seizure in 2014 of Vecherny Bishkek holding, initiated a criminal case under articles: abuse of official position and fraud of the Criminal Code. Director General of Vecherniy Bishkek was detained on November 21. He was placed in pretrial detention center 1 until the end of January.
