Deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Rada Tumenbaeva proposes to equate home front workers to war veterans.
The Law on War Veterans, Armed Forces and Home Front Workers is proposed to be amended.
»Home front workers are a generation whose work was not appreciated. Thanks to their work, victory in the Great Patriotic War was achieved. They do not need social protection. They need recognition of their work,” the deputy said.
Burial of a war veteran or a home front worker is performed with military honors on preferential terms at the expense of local budgets, as well as at the expense of the enterprises where they worked.
