Kyrgyzstan to complete reform of judicial system by 2023

Reform of the judicial system will be completed at the first stage of the implementation of the National Development Strategy of Kyrgyzstan until 2040. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov announced today at a meeting with representatives of donor organizations and development partners.

He noted that the reform of the judicial system was one of the main tasks of the Kyrgyz Republic.

«In the next five years — until 2023 — we will establish a fair judicial system. This is a guarantee of citizens’ confidence in the future, political stability, economic development and the inviolability of private property. We will fully implement reforms to ensure transparency and accountability of the courts. In addition to legislative changes, we will launch online broadcasting of court hearings,» the head of state stressed.

Sooronbai Jeenbekov told about changes in the legislative framework. «We have to create an automated register of crimes and misdemeanors, a probation institute,» he added.
