At least 458 people have been killed in traffic accidents, including 62 children, for 9 months of 2018 in Kyrgyzstan. The head of the Department for Consideration of Appeals in Criminal and Civil Proceedings Sphere of the Prosecutor General’s Office Mars Tentiev told at a press conference.
According to him, 5,118 traffic accidents have been registered in the republic for 9 months. At least 265 criminal cases were filed on them.
«For 9 months, initiation of criminal proceedings on 4,710 traffic accidents was refused. During this period, more than 6,000 people were injured,» Mars Tentiev informed.
About 977 traffic accidents involved children. More than 1,000 children were injured, 62 children died.
Mars Tentiev added that the most of all accidents occur in Chui region, Bishkek, Osh and Jalal-Abad.
