Draft law on compulsory vaccination is being developed in Kyrgyzstan. Director of the Republican Center for Immunoprophylaxis under the Ministry of Health, Gulbara Ishenapysova, told at a press conference.

According to her, the Ministry of Health plans to submit a bill to the government’s executive office in 2019. «In 2018, we considered the issue of refusing vaccinations at a board meeting, after which we decided to introduce compulsory vaccination,» said the head of the center.

Law on immunization has been amended, in particular, the responsibility for the refusal of vaccination, if the

child gets an infection, has been placed on the parents.

«The Ministry of Health is now studying the issue of compulsory vaccination, primarily from the legal side. This is an open question so far that will be discussed with the population,» noted Gulbara Ishenapysova.
