Former adviser to the ex-president of Kyrgyzstan, Ikramzhan Ilmiyanov, was transferred to a separate cell of a pretrial detention center of the State Committee for National Security. Director of the National Center for Torture Prevention, Nurdin Sulaimanov, told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the former official, charged with fraud, asked for the transfer.
«Ikramzhan Ilmiyanov feels well. He does not complain about anything. The only thing he asked was to transfer him to a separate cell. The administration of the SCNS pretrial detention center granted his request. There were no complaints of torture or ill-treatment,» said Nurdin Sulaimanov.
Ikramzhan Ilmiyanov was placed in the pretrial detention center of SCNS until November 28. He was charged with fraud. According to investigators, Ikramzhan Ilmiyanov received $ 150,000 from one of businessmen. Ex-adviser to former president Almazbek Atambayev was detained in Kazan and extradited to Bishkek.
