It is expected that the water reserves in Toktogul reservoir will reach 13 billion cubic meters by spring. Taalaibek Baigaziyev, the head of the Department for Generation and Transmission of Energy of the National Energy Holding Company, told today at a press conference.
According to him, there are currently 18.8 billion cubic meters of water in the reservoir.
«Drawdown of this volume is underway. This is due to the small volume of water inflow into the reservoir. But the inflow is still higher than the average annual amount,» the power industry specialist noted.
«The volume of water in Toktogul reservoir is sufficient for the passage of the autumn-winter season,» Taalaibek Baigaziyev stressed.
