CSTO countries plan to compile single list of terrorist organizations

Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, chaired by the Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, will discuss at a meeting in Moscow creation of a single list of organizations recognized as terrorist. TASS reported with reference to the press service of the Lower Chamber of the Russian parliament.

«The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly will consider model bills of the member countries, decide on a single list of organizations recognized as terrorist, and discuss issues of coordination of interaction at international parliamentary platforms,» the message says.

The meeting is attended by the heads of parliaments of CSTO countries, including the Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, as well as the delegation of Serbia, which is an observer at the CSTO PA.

«The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is an opportunity to discuss issues of a topical agenda for the development of our countries, joint countering challenges and threats, and formation of a model legislation,» the press service quoted Vyacheslav Volodin as saying.

TASS source in the Russian parliament did not rule out that «heads of delegations can meet to discuss regional security issues in the context of hotbeds located near the borders of the CSTO countries» on the sidelines of the meeting.
