The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic put into circulation a collectible coin The 90th Anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov from Historic Events series on October 29. The press service of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The main plot of the obverse side of the coin is a portrait and facsimile of Chingiz Aitmatov. The inscription Chygyz Aitmatov — 90 zhyl / Chingiz Aitmatov — 90 years is placed around the coin circumference. The coin value is in its right part.
The emblem of Kyrgyzstan is on the back side of the coin, at the top. A white ship and the Mother-Deer based on the works by Chingiz Aitmatov are depicted against the background of stylized mountains and Issyk-Kul lake. The year of issue of the coin (2018) is indicated at the bottom.
Each coin is placed in an acrylic capsule and packed in a separate case with a certificate attached. A copper-nickel coin with a nominal value of 20 soms can be bought at cash departments of the National Bank for 700 soms. At least 5,000 collectible coins have been issued.
