Onuguu-Progress calls government resignation ‘own initiative’  

"Onuguu-Progress faction supports resignation of government, but it is our own initiative, separate from Ata Meken," faction leader Bakyt Torobaev stated after discussion of the issue behind closed doors.

As for the resignation of the Speaker of the Parliament Chynybay Tursunbekov, then, according to Bakyt Torobaev, Onuguu-Progress faction has failed to reach a consensus. However, he said that, when discussing the question, he, as a leader, "felt that the majority of deputies were for resignation of the Speaker".

Bakyt Torobaev added that other factions members have already came to him and asked to support Respublika- Ata Jurt's initiative, but he gave no answer.
