Kyrgyzstan needs national corruption assessment system, Defense Council Secretary Temir Dzhumakadyrov told reporters.
"Not only society, but also government agencies need it. It's necessary to know the real state of affairs, so that we can introduce new mechanisms to fight corruption and to make adjustments. We are working on it seriously. The difficulty is that it is hard to find direct indicators that would show the real situation," he said.
"Of course, we focus on the public opinion, and statistical data, as well as assessment of the external evaluators. Of course, the opinion of international institutions is important. But we need our own system of corruption assessment," Temir Dzhumakadyrov said.
