Less than 6,000 unemployed registered in Bishkek

According to official data, 5, 927 unemployed have been registered in Bishkek as of January 1, 2017 which has the population of more than a million people. First Vice Mayor of Bishkek Ernis Zarlykov told today at a board meeting.

According to him, the level of registered unemployment rate is 1.3 percent.

More than 10,000 jobs have been created during the first 9 months of 2016.

According to the Mayor's Office, more than 20,290 low-income families (48,400 people) live in the capital. The number of poor households compared to 2015 decreased by 9.3 percent.

During 2016, 508 low-income residents were employed, 59 were sent to vocational training, another 61 persons - to public works.
