Parliament tells about railway China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan

Technical details of the future railway China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan were voiced at a meeting of Ata Meken faction.

As the Minister of Transport and Roads of the KR Zhamshitbek Kalilov said, length of branch line Torugart - Jalal-Abad will be 432 km. The project in this segment provides for 87 bridges (total length will be 67 km), 28 tunnels (total length of 68.7 km, the longest - in Kazarman area - 14 km).

It is noted that the estimated construction period - 8 years. It is assumed that after the commissioning of this pipeline, it will be possible to transport up to 12 million tons of cargo per year.
