No payments in dollars in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan's parliament today in the third reading adopted amendments to some legislative acts, concerning the strengthening of the national currency. The country abandons payments in dollars.

The bill is aimed at strengthening the national currency in carrying out any operations, reducing the population's needs in foreign currency and de-dollarization of the economy.

The document provides for mandatory payments and transactions only in KGS (except for import and export operations), the mandatory indication of the prices of goods, works (services) in national currency (except for import and export operations), as well as penalties for violation of these requirements.

The law was sent to the President for signing.
