Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister of Hungary Péter Szijjártó to visit Kyrgyzstan in April

The Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister of Hungary Péter Szijjártó will visit Kyrgyzstan in April. This information became known during the meeting of the Speaker of the Parliament Asylbek Jeenbekov and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic Andras Barany. As the press service of the Parliament reported, the meeting was also attended by the head of the parliamentary committee on budget and finance Askarbek Shadiev (Bir Bol).

Asylbek Jeenbekov congratulated András Barany on the presentation of his credentials to the President of Kyrgyzstan and expressed hope that his official assumption of office will contribute to development of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary. "Kyrgyzstan has created favorable conditions for foreign investment and business," the parliamentary speaker said.

He also noted that at present the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary do not use the full potential in the economic sphere and stressed the need for the development and implementation of various projects, opening of joint ventures. In addition, the sides noted the importance of the qualitative elaboration of the planned for 2016 bilateral visits.

 In his turn, Andras Barany said that since the last year Hungary has allocated $ 20 million for the Central Asian region through the World Bank. At least $ 1.5 million of the sum will be spent on the implementation of two projects related to health and banking sector support. "Such cooperation should grow. It is important to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Of course, this year should be fruitful for us, there are planned reciprocal visits and a number of meetings at the highest level. This has not occurred throughout the history of diplomatic relations," he concluded.
