UK Minister of State for International Development arrives in Kyrgyzstan

The UK Minister of State for International Development Desmond Swayne arrived in Kyrgyzstan to discuss the prospects of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United Kingdom, the British Embassy in Bishkek reported.

According to it, Desmond Swayne will meet with senior government officials, civil society representatives and the business community.

"The visit of the Minister will focus on bilateral relations between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and the United Kingdom, in particular, on the support by the United Kingdom of economic development, good governance and stability," the embassy noted.

It is noted that this is the first visit of Desmond Swayne in Kyrgyzstan since taking office of the Minister also responsible for Central Asia.
