April 7 may be announced public holiday in 2016

"The 7th April may be announced a public holiday already this year," own sources in the Parliament informed 24.kg news agency.

According to them, inclusion of April 7 in the list of public holidays has been already considered by relevant committees of the Parliament - Committee on Social Affairs, Education, Science, Culture and Health Care and the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Legal Issues and Regulations.

 "The issue was also considered by Onuguu-Progress and Bir Bol factions. During the day, the other factions are also going to discuss it," the sources said.

Issue on the inclusion of that date in the list of non-working days will be submitted to Parliament for discussion on April 6.

 Recall, on April 4, the President Almazbek Atambayev signed a decree to perpetuate the memory of the Aksy events, March and April revolutions and recommend the Parliament to include April 7 in the list of public holidays.

MP from SDPK faction Ryskeldi Mombekov initiated amendments to the Labor Code and the Law On the Day of People's April Revolution. He offers to declare the 7th April a public holiday at the legislative level.
