Kyrgyzstan to host SCO training “Peace Mission-2016” in September

Kyrgyzstan will host an international anti-terrorist command-staff exercises of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Peace Mission-2016.++

Today, on the basis of the Center for Combat Training of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan, there was signed the final protocol of the second round of staff talks on preparation for these exercises by the heads of military delegations from Kazakhstan, China, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia and Tajikistan. During the talks , the parties discussed the comprehensive support of training, questions of military contingents (amount of equipment and personnel) and agreed: to conduct training in Balykchy on September 5-13.

 The third round of talks will be held there at the end of June, where practical issues related to the exercises will be worked out. The maneuvers, which will be the most ambitious in the history of the Kyrgyz Republic, will be attended by several arms, including artillery and aviation. A summit of SCO heads of joint staffs will be held. Currently, training places, barracks are being prepared  for the event.
