Kyrgyz parliament to hear report of expert scientific and technical group on study state of glaciers in Kumtor deposit area

Kyrgyz parliament member will hear the report of the expert scientific and technical group on study the state of the glaciers in Kumtor mine area.

As the parliament's website reported, the event will take place in the East Room at 10:00 a.m. on March 28. The organizer of the parliamentary hearings is Parliamentary Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Environment and Regional Development.

Recall, the expert group was formed by government order in July 2015. It is composed of representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Institute of Water Problems and Hydropower of the National Academy of Sciences, Miners Association, the State Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources, the State Enterprise "Kyrgyz Complex Hydrogeological Expedition," the State Agency for Environment and Forestry, Hydrometeorology Agency "Kyrgyzhydromet" and others.
