Jan Gamachek: Kyrgyzstan – unique country in region, where unprecedented elections are held

"Kyrgyzstan is a unique country in the region, where unprecedented elections are held," head of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Hamácek said at a meeting with the President Almazbek Atambayev.

During the meeting, the head of the Kyrgyz Republic noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the visits of delegations from democratic countries, and hopes that the current visit will give additional impetus to the development of relations between the two countries.

President Almazbek Atambayev said that a solid foundation of friendly relations between the two peoples dates back to the years of formation of the Soviet republics, including the development of domestic industry.

Jan Hamácek said that he hopes for fruitfulness of his visit to Kyrgyzstan to strengthen bilateral relations in various spheres. He noted the country's achievements in strengthening democracy and stressed that Kyrgyzstan is a unique country in the region where unprecedented elections are held.

The parties discussed the role of the second Kyrgyz-Czech business forum in the development of trade and economic cooperation in the light of giving "GSP +" status (General scheme of preferences) to the Kyrgyz Republic by the European Union.
