MPs propose to ban lottery business

The Committee on Law and Order of the Parliament considered a bill on banning the lottery business in the territory of Kyrgyzstan. MP Torobay Zulpukarov voiced such an initiative.

 According to him, casinos have been banned in the Kyrgyz Republic and after that bookmaker offices and betting houses took up "functions of casinos".

"In April 2015, activities of bookmakers and betting houses have been banned by the law, but there appeared lotteries, which also began working as casinos," the deputy said.

 According to him, the lottery introduced instant rates, virtually repeating the principle of the game in the casino.
