Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan to negotiate over unspecified border areas

Governmental delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan agreed to continue to work constructively on addressing border issues. Information Support Department of the government's executive office reported.

Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zhenish Razakov held a working meeting in Osh the day before with the delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by the Deputy Prime Minister Adham Ikramov.

The sides spoke about the need for an early agreement on the remained unspecified areas of the border.

Negotiations on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border were held on January 15-17.
