Foreigner suspected of kidnapping detained in Bishkek

A foreign national, suspected of kidnapping, was detained in Bishkek. The Interior Ministry reported.

 According to it, in August 2016 personal security service officers (PSS) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received information about the planned kidnapping of, allegedly, a Turkish citizen, who is working in a transport company in Bishkek. The law breaker had a kidnapping plan. Forcibly taking the man into a car, he was going to take the victim to Batken region, and then cross the border and enter the territory of Tajikistan. Later, having moved to Afghanistan, he was going to demand a ransom from $ 200,000 to $ 500,000 for his release.

At night on August 14, the law breakers kidnapped the businessman a home. After some time, in a joint operation the suspected car was detained on Bokonbaev Street. The police found the victim - the kidnapped Turkish citizen, 1985, as well as a knife, an ax and rope- in the car.

 The suspect, a Turkish citizen, 1986, was detained. He was placed in police detention center.
