Interstate committee to investigate plane crash in Bishkek

Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) will investigate the plane crash at Manas international airport. First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammetkaliy Abulgaziev told journalists.

According to him, the cargo plane performed Hong Kong - Bishkek - Istanbul flight. "It arrived to us for refueling. At 7.07 a.m. it got permission from our air traffic controllers for landing. Weather conditions allowed it. 11 other airplanes landed today night," the deputy prime minister said.

"Now we can not say who is guilty of the accident. According to preliminary estimates of experts, it was pilot error. There were four crew members, they carried out such flights before and were acquainted with our airport, the conditions," Mukhammetkaliy Abulgaziev stressed. 

He could not answer the question whether the plane was overloaded and whether it could be a terrorist attack. "Everything will be known after the investigation," he added.
