President and head of National Bank discuss transition to non-cash payment

President Almazbek Atambayev and the chairman of the National Bank Tolkunbek Abdygulov discussed Kyrgyzstan's transition to non-cash payment, Information Policy Department of the President reported.

It is noted that during the meeting Almazbek Atambayev was informed about the main macroeconomic indicators, the current situation on the currency market and banking sector, as well as measures taken to reduce the level of inflation and the stability of the national currency.

They discussed preliminary results of the implementation of the State program on increase of non-cash payments in the country and plans for the future.

Almazbek Atambayev said that the National Bank together with the government and commercial banks shall continue working on the reduction of interest rates for entrepreneurs and farmers of the country.
