Tourist season 2016 in Kyrgyzstan failed
Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev called tourist season 2016 a fail. He stated this today at a government meeting.
110,000 tourists have visited Kyrgyzstan in 2016. This is 12 percent less than in 2015. The government noted that geographical location and weather conditions were to blame for it.
"The figures would have been even worse if not the 2nd World Nomad Games. WNG have brought into the country a large number of tourists, which positively influenced the outcome of the season. At the same time, we will focus on increasing the export potential of Kyrgyzstan in 2017,"Arzybek Kozhoshev stressed.
