Gold deposit in natural reserve, tender canceled

The State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use has canceled a tender for the gold deposit because of the fact that it is located in a natural reserve. Press service of the committee reported.

A violation of the law was revealed in preparation for the auction. The field is located on the territory of Besh-Aral natural reserve.

According to the law on specially protected areas, any geological work is prohibited on the territory of the natural reserves.

Auction on granting the subsoil use right for exploration of Irisay gold mineralization field is to take place on February 17. The facility is located in Chatkal district of Jalal-Abad region. However, the State Committee canceled the auction.
