Kyrgyzstan to reconsider Tax Code after criticism

Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan has agreed to revise the country's tax code after criticism of businessmen. This was stated today at the meeting of Onuguu-Progress parliamentary faction.

Minister of Economy Arzybek Kozhoshev said that the Tax Code has technical errors. In 2015, there was formed a working group, which worked on a new version of the Tax Code.

The Ministry of Economy noted that the current version of the Tax Code is not a dogma. It will be reviewed, taking into account public opinion.

"I met with representatives of business associations several times. They made comments on the lack of Regulatory Impact Assessments on the bill. There are divergent views on the project. On January 25, we decided to create a group to study the new edition of the Tax Code. It includes 20 representatives of business associations. We will do a reboot, work with entrepreneurs  in a new way. Nobody is in a hurry. There is no goal to adopt the tax code at a certain time," Arzybek Kozhoshev said.
