Salary of Kumtor employees in Kyrgyzstan increased by 10 percent

Kumtor company increased salaries of its workers by 10 percent since January 1, 2017, and it will be increased by another 5 percent from January 1, 2018. The chairman of the Mining and Metallurgical Union of Kyrgyzstan Eldar Tadzhibaev reported.

According to him, the company's management and personnel in the face of trade unions signed a collective agreement for the next two years during a conference in Bishkek.

It is reported that salaries had been increased in view of the positive results of the enterprise's work in 2016. 

The employer will annually transfer to the account of the trade union 2 percent of a labour payment for health care purposes, that will allow each employee to get a ticket to sanatoriums and rest homes, as well as financial aid up to 30,000 soms in case of illness, the report said.

Moreover, women in parental leave will receive 5,000 soms per month until the child reaches the age of 1.5 years. The document includes a number of other benefits and guarantees. 

During the conference, President of Kumtor said that at the end of the year the company's employees would receive a bonus of 50,000 soms.
