Chinese businessmen not interested in idle factories in Kyrgyzstan

Instead of launch of 42 standing idle factories, the Chinese businessmen want to build new in empty industrial zones. This was stated today at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on economic and fiscal policy.

Deputy Economy Minister Eldar Abakirov said that the Chinese businessmen were interested in 42 idle plants in Kyrgyzstan. In particular, they talked about the inclusion of Kyrgyzstan in China program on the transfer of surplus production.

However, the issue has not been resolved up to date. Economy Ministry is still looking for investors for idle plants. Chinese businessmen also asked to provide them with empty industrial zones for the construction of enterprises. The government is considering the issue.
