Kyrgyz government accused of poor indicator of Doing Business rating

Deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov accused the government of poor indicator in Doing Business rating. He stated this today at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on economic and fiscal policy.

MP is sure that in the last two years, the country's position is falling due to lack of administrative measures of the government. He recalled that previously the vice premiers twice a year held meetings to improve the position in Doing Business, but it is not the case now.

"It is necessary to solve the problem. Doing Business - a mirror image of Kyrgyzstan in the global market for attracting foreign direct investment. In 2008-2009, the republic took 42nd place in Doing Business. Then the volume of investments was $846 million. In 2016 Kyrgyzstan received $526 million. This is almost two times less. There is no progress in the improvement of the country's position. And without this there will be no flow of investments," Akylbek Japarov said.
