Exhibition pavilion to promote agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan functions in Moscow

"Kyrgyzstan" exhibition pavilion to promote agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan is functioning in Moscow on territory of Foodcity shopping complex. Chairperson of the Association of Exporters and Importers "Kyrgyzland" Lenara Niyazbekova told today at a press conference.

According to her, the pavilion with the total area of 150 square meters sells about two hundred kinds of products from Kyrgyzstan: nuts, honey, beans, plums, apples, juice, clothes ...

"The domestic products came to the markets of Russia, Europe through our neighboring countries. We have decided to export our products by ourselves," chairperson of the association told.

As Lenara Niyazbekova noted, certification problems, weak advertising and marketing, as well as the high price compared to similar products hinder the promotion of domestic products abroad.

"Potential buyers ask why agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan are different from the production of neighboring countries. We answer that it is the taste and naturalness. We are also working on a change in the pricing policy of manufacturers, because we are losing to competitors in it," Lenara Niyazbekova said.

According to her, some entrepreneurs who exhibited their products in the pavilion, have already started to enter into contracts for the supply of goods to the United States, the United Kingdom.

However, as the chairperson of the Association noted, the exhibition pavilion operated under a contract with the public association "Eurasian Business Union" and should work on its terms.

"We were able to create a platform to promote our products, now we want to get out of the public association" Eurasian Business Union "and work on our own, to be independent in the promotion of domestic products abroad," she said.
