Boeing 747 crash. Damage estimated at 186 mln soms

Preliminary amount of damage from the crashed Boeing 747 near Manas airport is more than 186 million soms. The Minister of Emergency Situations Kubatek Boronov said at a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.++

As of today, 27 victims of the crash are in hospitals. Their condition is stable.

Individuals, who applied to medical facilities with suspected jet fuel poisoning, have been discharged from the hospital after thorough examination.

Children, who are temporarily living in Semetey hotel, were provided with vehicles to daily attend school in Manas village.

As of today, 26 houses are uninhabitable.

Rescue teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the representatives of the State Environmental and Technical Inspection carry out clean-up in the area of jet fuel spill.

"The top layer of soil was removed on the ninth line of Dacha SU village. Land was treated with special reagents and covered with sand and gravel. The top layer of soil was removed at the spill site and the soil was also treated with special reagents. Now this site is covered with sand and sawdust. Cleaning work will be completed till January 28," the government said.

As the director of the State Agency of Environment and Forestry Abdykalyk Rustamov reported, testing of air samples showed that it is clean at the scene.
