Osh attracts 6.2 bln soms of investments for 2016

Osh attracted 6.2 billion soms of investments for 2016, First Vice Mayor of Osh Zamirbek Askarov said today at the collegium of the southern capital.

According to him, $12 million have been spent from the Asian Development Bank funds, from the EBRD - $8.5 million.

" The ADB funds were spent on building of water treatment gallery, antimud slide protection dam, laying of pipe, reconstruction of a number of other water bodies," the official said.

As the first vice mayor noted, hospital for 150 beds worth $25 million is being built in Ak-Tilek micro-district at the expense of China, Football Academy at FIFA funds, academic lyceum "Zhetigen" for up to 500 people was built on means of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. 

In addition, the southern capital actively attracts investments from China. A plant for the production of reinforcement, a factory for making bags of cement, the enterprise for the production of children's shoes, hotel have been built.

In general, over the past year the city opened 877 new enterprises, including 91 industrial, 104 - in the construction sector, 65 - in the sphere of paid services, and others.
