New species of moths named after Donald Trump

New species of moth has been described by the Canadian entomologist Vazrik Nazari in January 2017. The new moth is named after the 45th President of the United States, as according to the scientist, yellowish-white scales on the head of the insect resemble Donald Trump's hair. Mail Online reported.

Neopalpa donaldtrumpi had been discovered hidden in the collections of the Bohart Museum of Entomology. Intrigued by the unique specimen, systematic features of which not allowed to write it down to any of the existing species of Neopalpa, the entomologist went to the place of collection of the moth and soon discovered other representatives of the new species.

The tiny insect, the length of which is on average 3.6 millimeters, has light yellow scales at the top of the head, reminding the hairstyle of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump.
