The Orthodox Kyrgyzstanis mark the Epiphany today. Episcopal celebration of the divine liturgy takes place in Sosnovka village, Jaiyl district.++

The head of the Bishkek and Kyrgyz Eparchy Bishop Daniil arrived in the temple of Saint Great Martyr Dmitriy Solunskiy to hold festive liturgy. A small rural church is full of people now. The festive prayer will continue until 12.00.

However, most of the people will arrive closer to the noon, when believers will move in a sacred procession to Karabaltinka river. The water will be consecrated and traditional bathing will take place there. It is expected that the ceremony will be attended by thousands of believers from almost all Chui region and neighboring Kazakhstan.
