Rate of flu increasing again 

Cases of acute respiratory infection (ARVI) and influenza in Kyrgyzstan are on rise again, the Ministry of Health Care reported.

According to it, as of January 16, 2017 1.3 times increase is observed. In the first week of the year (January 2-9), the republic registered 5,872 seeking medical help with symptoms of ARVI and influenza. During the second week (9-15) - 7,479 patients.

Growth in incidence rate is observed in all regions of the country, except for Osh and Batken regions. School attendance of children is being monitored.

According to monitoring and analysis of the data on incidence of influenza and ARVI epidemic in recent years, the rise has been observed since December with peak incidence at the end of January and February.

All regions are provided with additional beds on the basis of hospital admission for patients with ARVI and influenza.

"At this time, the epidemic situation is under control. Sanitary-educational work among the population on the prevention of influenza and ARVI is ongoing," the Ministry of Health Care noted.
