Kyrgyztelecom JSC reached an agreement with Internet providers on reduction of price. Company's board of directors informed 24.kg news agency.++
According to the chairman Bekzat Usenkanov, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov instructed all departments to take measures to resolve the price increase issue and return it to the level of July 2016 ($ 13.85 per Mbit).
The former head of the company Emil Eshenaliev was dismissed in connection with the criminal case on illegal signing of contracts by Kyrgyztelecom on the purchase of an Internet access channel.
It has been found out, that the chairman of the board concluded obviously unprofitable contracts on the basis of unilateral demands of foreign companies to increase the cost of the provided Internet access service up to $ 30 per Mbit.
10 days after the appointment, Nurlan Madaminov held talks with suppliers of the Internet and has managed to reduce the price to $ 13 per Mbit.
