Year of 2017 in Kyrgyzstan announced Year of morality, education and culture

Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev signed a decree "On declaring 2017 the Year of morality, education and culture," his press office reported.

"Global trends and modern technologies offer great opportunities and prospects to the republic. But along with positive changes also appear new challenges. Achieving the strategic development goals of the country in these conditions depends largely on the ability of the state and society to focus directly on a man, his morality and spirituality.

The year of history and culture in 2016 has received broad public support and shown the importance of preserving historical and cultural heritage, the presence in these areas, a huge potential, which creates the basis for the formation of the modern Kyrgyz society.

Interest of Kyrgyz citizens to the history of their country and people increased. A new impetus to the development of culture and processes of revival of spirituality received. The understanding of the importance of preservation and development of ancient and original culture of Kyrgyzstan, ancient people who founded the great khanate in the Middle Ages," the document says.

"The main wealth of our country - its citizens. And at this stage the issues of formation of comprehensively developed personality, proven by centuries of spiritual and moral values ​​of the people of Kyrgyzstan and the modern world are particularly important. Special efforts should be focused on children and youth. Kyrgyz citizens in the age of 25 make up more than half the country's population. This is a key resource of the KR, the basis for its future prosperity.

To Kyrgyzstan successfully developed, citizens, representatives of the younger generation should have a high internal culture, be well educated, brought up in the spirit of tolerance for different views and opinions and, of course, to know the history and native culture of the people," the president said.

The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic is recommended to:

- form the organizing committee for the Year of morality, education and culture;

- to develop a plan of action within a month.
