Oleg Pankratov: Kyrgyz goods will be unable to compete in Customs Union markets without CU membership

 "Kyrgyz goods will be unable to compete in the markets of the Customs Union countries without CU membership," the Advisor to the Prime Minister Oleg Pankratov stated today at the "Kyrgyzstan's non-accession to CU: threats and risks" press session.

According to him, "Customs Union - is an integration economic union, which eliminates all the barriers and removes customs border."

 "Much has been said about introduction of serious requirements to technical regulations by the CU. It is really so. The countries of the Customs Union set an objective on protection of the internal market. That is why safety requirements are legitimate. The other problem is that in case of non-accession to the Customs Union it will be difficult for our entrepreneurs to compete in the internal market of the CU. They will have additional expenses to enter it, therefore, it will increase production cost," he added.
