GKNB to investigate Kyrgyz-Chinese border incident 

 The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) will investigate the incident on Kyrgyz-Chinese border. The Military Procuracy informed 24.kg news agency.

According to its data, the day before joint investigative team, consisting of members of GKNB, Interior Ministry and Military Procuracy, arrived at the scene to Pikertyk heating point. The State Border Service employees were at the scene.

It was informed that primary work was held, particularly, the incident site inspection. There were detected 11 corpses of still unknown citizens. The special service of the Kyrgyz Republic, which was charged with the investigation, will identify them.

GKNB specified that at present the investigative team is working at the scene. It is still not clear who will conduct the investigation. “In case of illegal crossing of the border the special services will conduct the investigation,” the committee explained.

Recall, yesterday there was a shootout between border squad of Kyrgyzstan and unknown persons, who, according to received information from Alexander Barykin, killed an employee of a hunting farm and took his rifle on the section of the border service detachment in Issyk-Kul province. The border guards which arrived at the scene were fired by unknown persons.

After long lasting negotiations all members of the unknown group were liquidated.
