Ex-MP Omurbek Tekebayev was convoyed from the Neurology Center to the penal colony 47. His lawyer Taalaigul Toktakunova told journalists.
According to her, Omurbek Tekebayev’s health condition is unstable, and doctors forbade his transfer to the colony which has no suitable conditions for treatment. However, the State Penitentiary Service believes that Omurbek Tekebayev does not need hospitalization any more, and he can undergo the necessary treatment in the colony.
Omurbek Tekebayev was sentenced to 8 years in prison on corruption charges. He is serving his sentence in penal colony 47.
