Private medical centers in Bishkek sell the vaccine against meningitis for 2,000-3,000 soms. The deputy Zhyldyz Musabekova informed today at the session of the Parliament.
According to her, an increase in the incidence of viral meningitis has been registered in Kazakhstan. There are already facts of death from the disease. The deputy proposed to invite representatives of the Ministry of Health and Sanitary Physicians to the Parliament in order them to report on the situation in Kyrgyzstan.
«We need to hear the information. People are scared now, and private medical centers use this. The vaccine is sold for 3,000 soms. We need to listen to the advices of the doctors. I’m interested in the question why we are not vaccinated against such diseases as meningitis and tuberculosis,» said Zhyldyz Musabekova.
The idea was supported by the deputies. The issue was included in the agenda of the chamber’s meeting.
