Passports of Kyrgyz citizens issued in 1994 invalid since April 1

Passport of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic issued in 1994 with «permanent» mark is valid only until March 31, 2017, the press service of the State Registration Service reported.

It recalls  about the need to change such passports, as from April 1 they will completely lose legal force and will be declared invalid.

«Citizens who have reached the age of 60 and above with passports of 1994 can obtain the national ID card in a simplified order and free of charge. To do this, they must apply to the passport and visa registration departments of all districts at the place of registration or to the passport and visa registration departments of all districts of Bishkek, as well as Batken, Jalal-Abad and Chui regions, in spite of registration place, for timely replacement," the report says.

All the passport departments of the State Registration Service formed mobile groups for on-site documentation of citizens, who for health reasons can’t come and replace passports on their own.
