Entrepreneurs at Kara-Suu market to be exempt from using cash registers

The Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan commented on the rally of entrepreneurs at Kara-Suu market opposing the installation of cash registers.

The department said that explanatory work was carried out with sellers. The protest has ended, and all its participants continue their economic activities.

«In accordance with tax legislation, entrepreneurs carrying out their activities in markets classified as strategic objects can work under a special tax regime. At the moment, strategic objects include Dordoi and Turataly el Bazary (Kara-Suu) markets,» the Tax Service said.

Entrepreneurs of all markets on the territory of Kara-Suu shopping and entertainment center will be exempt from the obligation to use cash registers.

Starting from January 1, 2024, entrepreneurs working in markets classified as strategic facilities will be exempt from the use of cash registers, electronic invoices and electronic consignment notes when selling goods within a special regime zone.

A special tax regime replaces income tax, sales tax, VAT and is applied to the sale of goods, with the exception of excisable goods and those requiring special licenses or permits.
