Another Kyrgyzstani was killed during the fighting in Ukraine. The administration of the Russian Surgut city reported.

According to it, «the 41-year-old Mirlan Atabev died in the special operation zone» (probably the letter is missing from the surname: Atabaev. — Note of 24.kg news agency).

It is reported that he was born in Bishkek. The man graduated from the Kyrgyz Technical University. He got married and moved with his family to Surgut, where he worked as an electrician.

In the summer of 2023, the man signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and left for a special military operation zone, the city administration says. The Kyrgyzstani served as a rifleman. He died in October 2023 on the territory of the DPR.

«At the request of the wife and close relatives of the deceased, Mirlan was buried in the city of Bishkek. Mirlan had wife and children,» the press service of the Surgut administration said in the statement.

The death of 30-year-old resident of Kochkor-Ata, Ayan Alisherov, was reported in January. In 2019, he was convicted in Russia under the articles «Kidnapping» and «Extortion». He was killed on November 24, 2022, on the territory of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The Parliament demanded to find out the circumstances of the incident. In mid-February, another Kyrgyzstani, convicted in Russia and recruited to participate in the military conflict in Ukraine as part of the Wagner PMC, was buried in Leninskoye village, Chui region. At the end of February, another Kyrgyzstani, Erlan Ermekov, who was serving a sentence in Russia, died in Ukraine. In March 2023, Timur Gatiyatullin, a resident of Kara-Balta city, died in Ukraine. He went to participate in the war as a volunteer.
