Members of the parliamentary committee on constitutional legislation, state structure, judicial, legal issues and regulations dismissed the Supreme Court judge Gulbara Kaliyeva from office.
It is noted that the former head of the Supreme Court submitted a letter of resignation.
On March 31, 2021, President Sadyr Japarov submitted to Parliament a proposal for the temporary removal from office of the Chairperson of the Supreme Court Gulbara Kalieva. The Parliament supported it.
The Disciplinary Commission under the Council of Judges previously agreed to bring Gulbara Kalieva to criminal responsibility. The Prosecutor General’s Office submitted a proposal to bring Kaliyeva to criminal liability to the Disciplinary Commission under the Council of Judges.
Earlier, the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev, said that a criminal case had been opened against Gulbara Kalieva for corruption in the development and introduction of «Local Court» automated information system.
