In vitro laboratory for growing organic plants will be built in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev reportedly held a meeting on the implementation of a pilot project for the construction of this laboratory.
It is noted that the main task of the in vitro laboratory will be the cultivation of seedlings free from various viruses and other diseases. It will also be possible to restore old plant varieties and increase their number by cloning. If this laboratory is put into operation, it is planned to produce more than 500,000 seedlings per year.
The Ministry of Agriculture and the Skryabin Kyrgyz National Agrarian University have been assigned the tasks that must be fulfilled within a week.
