Restrictions on imports of meat and livestock to Kyrgyzstan lifted

Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan reported.

In particular, the ban on the import of farm animals and products of animal origin from Uzbekistan and poultry and poultry products from the United States has been lifted. It has been in force since September 2022.

In addition, restrictions on the import of meat and livestock from some countries are still in force:

  • Farm animals from Karaganda region (Kazakhstan), susceptible to foot-and-mouth disease;
  • Farm animals from Orenburg Oblast (Russia), susceptible to foot-and-mouth disease;
  • Farm animals from Buryatia and Bashkortostan, sensitive to nodular dermatitis;
  • Farm animals from three states of India due to the incidence of nodular dermatitis;
  • Cattle, sheep and goats from Mongolia;
  • Cattle and all types of farm animals from Afghanistan, susceptible to nodular dermatitis.
