Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov received the President of the Japanese company Muroo Systems Co Jongsin Pan. The parties discussed prospects for further cooperation in the energy sector.
Akylbek Japarov noted the republic’s interest in expanding investment and technological cooperation with Muroo Systems Co, attracting capital, best practices and modern technological solutions for the modernization and technological renewal of the country’s energy infrastructure. He stressed that the development of the energy sector was defined as a national priority in Kyrgyzstan; real practical steps are being taken in the republic to improve the investment climate.
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy signed a Memorandum of understanding with the company.
Jongsin Pan noted that he was ready for close cooperation and constructive negotiations on the implementation of promising projects for the construction of hydroelectric power plants. «If the hydroelectric project is successfully implemented, many Japanese enterprises will also notice the investment potential of Kyrgyzstan and opportunities will be opened up for other Japanese companies to invest in the country,» he said.
